IDEXX SimPlate for HPC correlates to the pour-plate method using multiple unique enzyme substrates that help to recover the most common viable bacteria found in water. The CFU count is correlated to a Most Probable Number (MPN) based on the number of wells that fluoresce. The high number of wells (84) results in a very high counting range and precise 95% confidence limits. The counting range is from <1 to 738 per plate. Reports reflect the CFU count and 95% confidence limits and are available 2-4 days from date of receipt.
